Your Holiest Calling

Christians must do more than know the Bible: they must walk in relationship with the God of the universe. That’s where discipleship comes in. What is your discipleship plan for your students? How do you get beyond the basics of Scripture to help your students get to know God better and develop their relationship with Him? God has entrusted your students’ spiritual formation and discipleship to you. What are you doing with that charge?

Discipleship happens in the context of community and relationships. Apart from the Spirit’s work in your students’ hearts, you are the most important factor in discipling your students. Illuminate Bible Series equips you with the tools you need to disciple effectively your first through twelfth graders.

Every week, Illuminate walks through a five-step study designed to help your students get knowledge of the Lord from their heads to their hearts. It will also equip them with the skills they need for a lifetime of getting to know the Lord.

Story Element

Discover the main passage for the week. What happened? Why does it matter?

Context

Investigate the biblical, geographical, and cultural context for the main passage.

Connections

Examine how the main passage interacts with the rest of Scripture and how it fits into God’s big plan of redemption.

Doctrine

Focus on the relevant theological doctrine for the week.

Application

Determine how to live differently in light of what you learned that week.

Christ at the Center

Every volume of Illuminate Bible Series takes a deep dive into an aspect of God’s character, showing its presence in both the Old and New Testaments. Regardless of the passage, Illuminate always finds Jesus in it so you can show your students how He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Your students will come away from the study with a better understanding of who Jesus is and what He has done for us.

A Long-Term Plan

Illuminate features six volumes for 1st through 6th grade and six volumes for 7th to 12th. With twelve total years of curriculum, Illuminate can be a discipleship tool all throughout your students’ schooling. Each successive volume does not depend on information from the last, so your students can jump in at any volume appropriate for their grades.

Affordable

In addition to being an effective discipling tool, Illuminate is also affordable! While other curriculums may require you to get a teacher book for each grade you teach, with Illuminate you may only need a maximum of two books per year. If you teach multiple grades in 1st through 6th grade or 7th through 12th grade, you can teach them all from one Guide Book, which is both a cost and time savings!
